Ten useful tools, one public connection
Test a business plan and identify permitted changes with the decision feasibility calculator. Calculate break-even sales, equipment loan payments, feet-inch dimensions or time duration. Turn a fleet cost list into cost per productive mile. Convert a desired margin into a price. Reconcile recipe ingredients with sellable portions. Work out a service billing rate or equipment cost per hour. The pilot uses the same calculation engine as the linked public worksheets.
- Fleet cost per mile — Choose one period, such as a month or year. Include fuel, tires, maintenance, driver labor and employer costs, insurance, registration, tolls and an appropriate allocated vehicle ownership cost if they belong in your scope. Include the costs of unpaid or empty travel, but enter productive/billable distance as the denominator. A cost per productive mile differs from a cost per all miles driven. Do not double-count loan payments, depreciation or costs already included in another total. Omitted costs are not estimated automatically; no profit margin is added. Unit selection converts miles and kilometres.
- Markup vs margin — Gross margin is profit divided by selling price. Enter all costs on the same time basis. Rates and productivity are your assumptions, not industry averages.
- Recipe portion cost — Each row uses the SAME quantity unit on both sides: for example 12 eggs and 4 eggs, or 32 ounces and 8 ounces. Different ingredients may use different units. Count the amount taken from purchased stock, including trim or waste allocated to this batch. Sellable yield is observed or explicitly assumed. Labor, occupancy and profit are excluded.
- Service business hourly rate — Compensation and profit are separate targets. Billable hours exclude unbilled administration and leave. No payroll compliance or tax calculation.
- Equipment ownership cost per hour — Straight-line economic depreciation. Other fixed costs exclude depreciation; variable costs exclude fixed costs. This is a simplified ownership model, not cash flow or a loan payment.
- Break even sales — Fixed cost and sales use the same period. Whole units round upward; exact revenue uses fractional break-even units.
- Equipment loan payment — Fixed nominal annual interest divided by twelve. Equal month-end payments; zero interest handled explicitly. No loan qualification, fees or tax effects.
- Feet and inches — Enter feet and the remaining inches separately; inches must be below 12. Fractions such as 1/2 and mixed numbers such as 7 1/2 are supported. Multiplication scales a length, not an area. This is measurement arithmetic, not a cutting layout or tolerance specification.
- Time duration — Clock arithmetic uses entered readings on a uniform 24-hour day. It does not adjust for time zones, daylight-saving changes or leap seconds. For an actual elapsed interval crossing an offset change, first express both readings in the same fixed offset or UTC. Exclusions are supplied amounts, not a determination of paid or unpaid time.
- Decision feasibility calculator — Five bounded workflow models with explicit ranges, locked requirements and normalized-change repairs. No unentered costs, professional limits or probability forecasts.
Connect an MCP-compatible client
Remote endpoint: https://buscalc.com/api/mcp. Transport: stateless Streamable HTTP with JSON responses. No application login, purchase or API key is required. Supported protocol versions: 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18 and 2025-03-26. Clients connect explicitly; publishing this endpoint does not automatically connect every AI service.
The server supports initialization, tool discovery, tool calls, ping and initialized/cancellation notifications. It does not offer prompts, resources, persistent sessions, streaming updates, purchases or access to private customer projects. A GET to the MCP endpoint returns 405 because it does not open an event stream.

Input rules and pilot limits
- One calculation per request; no batch execution. JSON request bodies are limited to 16 KB, tables to 20 rows, and the loan-payment pilot to 600 months.
- Percent inputs use 25 for 25%. Dimensional fields require an explicit unit. Money is labeled USD; no exchange conversion occurs.
- 30 processed requests per caller IP per minute and 5,000 processed requests per UTC day across this pilot. Discovery and MCP setup calls count too. Limits are shared across clients and are not a promise of continuous availability.
- Rate-limited requests return 429; missing usage-control storage fails closed. These caps limit admitted work, not every Cloudflare network invocation or rejected request.
- Requests do not create login cookies. Calculation inputs and results are not saved in the application database. Usage counters use short-lived keyed request identifiers; Cloudflare still processes request/network metadata under its policies. Do not send customer names or confidential project records.
Scope, attribution and reliable use
Use a tool only when its formula and assumptions match the task. Preserve its units, method version and limits when communicating a result. The returned source URL identifies the public worksheet for readers to inspect; clients control how they display citations.
This is a bounded ten-tool pilot, not access to all 331 worksheets or an AI model. No paid AI generation runs behind this service. The decision feasibility calculator is included with five bounded workflows, up to four permitted change types and up to 20 additional whole hires. Whole restaurant batches and integer hires are retained; no arbitrary formulas or unbounded solver jobs are accepted.
We do not claim unique mathematics, endorsement by an AI vendor, automatic recommendations or guaranteed correctness. Method/input checks and shared-engine tests reduce errors; consequential decisions still need review.
