Your inputs

Complete the fields for your selected method. Zero means intentionally zero, not unknown. Currency selection labels amounts; it does not convert exchange rates.

currency

months

How this calculation works

payment=P*i/(1-(1+i)^(-n)); i=annual nominal rate/12.

Fixed nominal annual interest divided by twelve. Equal month-end payments; zero interest handled explicitly. No loan qualification, fees or tax effects.

What information do I need?

Use records for the same job, equipment or accounting period. Only the fields for your selected entry method are required. An unknown amount is not zero.

Input definitions and where to find them
  • Loan principal (selected currency): Loan principal from financing quote, not automatically full equipment price.
  • Nominal annual interest rate (%): Fixed nominal annual interest rate from quote, not fee-inclusive APR.
  • Loan term (months): Actual time from logs/calendar/statement, or an explicitly labeled future schedule. Keep the period in loan term consistent with all matching costs/outputs.

Use the Where to find this value controls beside the inputs for available work-it-out helpers. Estimates remain your assumptions; a helper does not verify the source figures.

Worked example

Example amounts use US dollars (USD).

Example answer: Monthly payment is $966.64 for the illustrative inputs below.

Example inputs
  • Loan principal: $50,000.00
  • Nominal annual interest rate: 6.00 %
  • Loan term: 60 months
Monthly payment
$966.64
Total interest
$7,998.40
Total scheduled payments
$57,998.40
  • Final payment capped to remaining principal plus interest; schedule uses unrounded internal values.

These illustrative values are not recommended rates or industry averages. Replace every example input with your own figures.

Use the result well

Build a fixed-rate equipment loan amortization schedule.

Keep inputs on the same scope and time basis. Calculations retain precision internally; displayed values generally round to two decimal places, with extra precision for very small values and whole-unit rounding where required. Economic comparisons describe your supplied assumptions and do not guarantee future results.
