Results use standard browser floating-point arithmetic, typically about 15 significant decimal digits. Fractions are approximations of the numerical result with a denominator up to 10,000; they are not exact symbolic answers. Very large, tiny or nearly cancelling values can lose accuracy. Nonfinite results and invalid real-number domains produce an explanation.
This is a real-number scientific calculator, without graphing, symbolic algebra, complex numbers or arbitrary-precision arithmetic. It cannot replace a required approved physical calculator in an exam. Inputs, memory and history stay in this tab and are not sent to a server.
Function reference: MDN mathematical functions and number precision. Check angle modes and independently verify consequential results.
Try the worked example sin(30)^2 + cos(30)^2 in DEG mode: the result is 1, within floating-point rounding.
