Precious Metals Transaction Feasibility Workspace
Choose a practical task, add your items and terms, then review detailed calculations and transaction limits. Ten methods use established arithmetic; feasibility is conditional on your entered facts and assumptions. Seller offers are entered by you, not fetched from dealer websites.
Use a decimal point and optional comma thousands: 1,234.56. Enter zero explicitly where appropriate. Prices and costs must share the same scope and currency. Examples are illustrative, not live prices.
Nothing saves automatically. Keep downloaded files private. Restoring a project does not refresh its price assumptions.

Compare purchase offers
Compare seller asks for the SAME fine-metal quantity and product scope. Enter actual seller terms yourself; only spot references can be refreshed. No dealer website prices or stock availability are fetched.
Formula: Merchandise = ounces × spot × (1+premium%) OR ounces × (spot+premium/oz) OR fixed merchandise ask; all-in = rounded merchandise + separately rounded merchandise surcharge and tax + fixed charges.
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

- Spread between highest and lowest all-in offers
- 5 USD
- USD throughout. Reference prices, dealer terms and content are supplied, not authenticated. No collectible appraisal, assay, tax determination, investment advice or executable offer is provided.
- Seller asks, fees, availability and expiry are entered by the user, not fetched or verified. Compare the same product quality, fine content and quantity; different collectible or delivery terms are not automatically equivalent. Fixed merchandise asks remain fixed when spot changes; spot-linked asks are conditional estimates. Payment surcharge and tax apply to merchandise only; enter any other charges explicitly.
Replacement-cost selling price
Solve a selling price that covers replacing a single-metal lot, explicit costs, a percentage selling fee and your target margin on the pre-tax customer sale. This is a scenario, not an executable replacement offer.
Formula: Replacement and fixed costs = ounces × (spot+premium) + other acquisition costs + fixed sale costs; required sale = costs / (1−selling fee−target margin).
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

- USD throughout. Reference prices, dealer terms and content are supplied, not authenticated. No collectible appraisal, assay, tax determination, investment advice or executable offer is provided.
- Margin is profit divided by pre-tax customer sale, after the entered selling fee and all listed costs. It is not markup and not a margin on net receipts. Sales tax, payment-fee tax bases, financing and missing costs are not inferred.
Unpriced purchase exposure
Test a fixed customer quote when some metal is already price-locked and the rest still needs buying. Low/base/high prices are entered scenarios, not probabilities. A price lock is a supplied fact, not a hedge established by this tool.
Formula: Unlocked oz = required oz × (1−locked%); cost = locked oz × locked price + unlocked oz × (scenario spot+premium) + other costs; profit = sale × (1−selling fee) − cost.
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

- 13.333333 %
- USD throughout. Reference prices, dealer terms and content are supplied, not authenticated. No collectible appraisal, assay, tax determination, investment advice or executable offer is provided.
- A fully price-locked lot has no modeled spot sensitivity, but supplier, delivery, credit and performance risks remain. Negative spot headroom means the target is already missed. A negative maximum means fixed costs alone exceed the target allowance. No trade, price lock, hedge, forecast or probability is created.
Collection value
Value mixed coins, bars and measured lots. Separate contained-metal value from an optional collectible premium and from your purchase cost.
Formula: Fine ounces = quantity × known fine content OR quantity × gross grams × purity/100 ÷ 31.1034768; metal value = sum(fine ounces × matching spot).
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

- Collectible premiums are user assumptions, not appraisals or inferred sale proceeds.
Compare dealer offers
Compare offers for ONE metal lot on the same scope. Shipping and assay charges must not already be included in the bid.
Formula: Gross = fine ounces × spot × bid% OR fine ounces × (spot−discount) OR fine grams × bid/gram OR item count × bid/item; net = gross × (1−fee%) − fixed charges.
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

- Sorting compares net proceeds only, not counterparty reliability, authenticity or whether an expired offer remains available. Confirm terms before acting.
Scrap & refining settlement
Model contained, recovered and payable metal separately. Use actual refiner terms; the two percentages must represent separate deductions.
Formula: Payable value = sum(contained ounces × recovery% × payable% × spot); net settlement = payable value − max(fixed charges, minimum charge); financing = acquisition cost × annual rate × days/365.
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

Optimize a bullion purchase
Find the maximum fine-metal content within a budget from your entered offers from ONE order/seller. Tests all permitted whole-item combinations; no dealer prices are fetched.
Formula: All-in = merchandise + rounded merchandise surcharge + rounded entered merchandise tax + conditional shipping; maximize fine ounces, break ties by lower all-in cost.
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

- One seller/order, one metal, entered inventory caps. Each ask is rounded to cents before multiplication; payment fee and tax are rounded separately on merchandise only. Free-shipping threshold tests merchandise subtotal. No external dealer inventory or tax jurisdiction rules are inferred.
Dealer inventory & margin
Compare purchase cost, replacement cost, modeled liquidation and your entered ask. Replacement and liquidation terms are scenarios, not guaranteed offers.
Formula: Replacement = sum(fine ounces × (spot + premium/oz)); liquidation = sum(fine ounces × spot × bid%) − fixed charges; ask margin = (ask−basis)/ask.
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

Metal-based job quote
Build a fabrication quote using a fine-metal material requirement. Credit only scrap you expect to recover and sell. Labor and overhead are explicit.
Formula: Input ounces = finished/yield; net metal cost = input×(spot+premium) − (input−finished)×recovery×scrap bid×spot; required quote = total cost/(1−margin).
Example uses illustrative prices only. Select Load illustrative example to inspect every input. Values can be zero or negative in results where costs exceed proceeds.

- Negative spot headroom means the entered quote already misses the target. A negative solved maximum means nonmetal costs alone exceed allowed cost. Scrap credit requires an actual recoverable sale; no credit should be entered for unrecoverable material.
Transaction feasibility
Find which offers meet your cash, margin and settlement requirements. Compare low/high spot and purity assumptions without treating them as probabilities.
Formula: Net = fine ounces × spot × bid% × (1−fee%) − fixed costs; required net = max(minimum cash, acquisition cost/(1−required margin)); solve spot and bid thresholds, test low/base/high plus timing.

- Unknown variables are bounded scenarios, not probabilities. Cash and profit requirements are tested together. A solved bid above 100% is an above-spot requirement, not an available offer. The analysis cannot establish purity, authenticity, counterparty risk, legality, or future prices.

Provider prices are references, not execution promises. Dealer terms, purity, quantities, condition, collectible premium, shipping, taxes and market availability require your matching evidence. No automatic risk probabilities, future price forecasts or investment recommendations are generated. Downloaded receipts are editable and unsigned; they preserve calculation assumptions, not proof of authenticity or a completed trade.
