Commercial cleaning
Cleaning staffing workload
Turn specified task frequencies and observed times into staffing.
Your inputs
Complete the fields for your selected method. Zero means intentionally zero, not unknown. Currency selection labels amounts; it does not convert exchange rates.
How this calculation works
weekly person-hours=sum(task minutes*frequency)/60; FTE=hours/available.
Times are person-minutes, including all crew members. Weekly aggregate headcount does not guarantee shift coverage. No licensed workload tables.
What information do I need?
Use records for the same job, equipment or accounting period. Only the fields for your selected entry method are required. An unknown amount is not zero.
Input definitions and where to find them
- Weekly task workload: One row per distinct weekly task workload, on the stated row and period basis. Do not enter both components and their total.
- Person-minutes per occurrence (person-min): Observed person-minutes: people × elapsed minutes or summed worker minutes.
- Occurrences per week (per week): Actual count from job, sales, production or service records for occurrences per week. Future counts are explicit assumptions; do not infer demand.
- Available productive hours per worker per week (person-hours/week): Productive hours per worker per week after nonproductive time.
Use the Where to find this value controls beside the inputs for available work-it-out helpers. Estimates remain your assumptions; a helper does not verify the source figures.
Worked example
Example amounts use US dollars (USD).
Example answer: Weekly person-hours is 20.00 person-hours/week for the illustrative inputs below.

Use the result well
Turn specified task frequencies and observed times into staffing.
Keep inputs on the same scope and time basis. Calculations retain precision internally; displayed values generally round to two decimal places, with extra precision for very small values and whole-unit rounding where required. Economic comparisons describe your supplied assumptions and do not guarantee future results.
